Back in the saddle again…

Blame it on the horrible hot summer…Blame it on our hectic schedules…whatever the reasons, Leicalady and I were LONG overdue for a trailride. The ponies were most cooperative and actually quite well-behaved…

Bailey, as handsome as ever

Pony Boy was a little fuzzy...

Leicalady had him looking good in no time...

I almost had forgotten how much fun...

Leicalady wanted to make sure that Pony Boy and Bailey also had not forgotten…so she gave each of them a quick little tune-up before we headed off into the sunset. I must say how beautiful she looks on a saddle…

Wonder what Pony Boy was thinking...

He is ready...

It really was the perfect afternoon for a ride. After circling the house a few times we took off for the wild blue yonder…but before we left somebody was really anxious to join us…

You know I AM a ranch dog...

So with Sky tagging along we headed down the road. It was such a clear day that we could see San Antonio and the “Tower of the Americas” on the horizon…

The Alamo City...

Get along little doggie...

Pony Boy was quite the gentleman...

We are never alone when we are on a trailride…little critters everywhere…and of course our friendly feathered friends are always close by…

Chill soaring...

Meadowlark having a snack...

Red Fred even buzzed us...

As we turned around and headed home Leicalady and I reminded each other how much we have to be thankful for…

Buda and Lady welcoming us back...

Leicalady was so pleased that the ponies did so well she insisted on rewarding them with a handful of carrots…but the carrots were in the kitchen…Leicalady said no problem I will just ride Bailey into the house and be right back…

I told you I would be right back...

Bailey wanted to know if he could go ahead and sleep in the house tonight...

As the sun set Leicalady and I vowed to ride again real soon…
