Houston Street Fair and Market…

IMG_7979The Houston Street Fair and Market is a FREE one-day event that takes place monthly in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The fair features handmade and homegrown art and crafts by artists and artisans from San Antonio and surrounding areas. It offers families a venue to come together and have fun…for free! There is always a theme to the fair and yesterday was “vintage and hot rod cars”. Dana, Peyton and I decided to make a go of it, despite the heat, and we were surely not disappointed…IMG_7978All the cars were from local clubs and we could tell how much work and pride went into each and every car…IMG_8031The attention to detail was really fantastic…IMG_7977And the paint jobs terrific….IMG_8077Some cars had there unique owner’s signature…IMG_2526Some were obviously only concerned about speed…IMG_8230The crowd was very diversified and most interesting…IMG_8214All families are always welcome…IMG_8224The vendors all had their specialties…IMG_7954Some were better than others…IMG_7983I found a hat that I knew Peyton would like…IMG_2501Dana found her favorite shop and proceeded to try everything on…IMG_8043And of course, she looks great in everything…IMG_8058The new headband and bracelet were quite the compliment…IMG_8068Need I say more…Dana had to get her “art” fix…IMG_8104Before heading back to the Rockin”P Leicalady snapped a picture of Peyton in his new hat…IMG_2518We decided to take a quick rest, and what I saw I really liked…IMG_8189
